Via Hong Kong's CHP :
" A spokesman for the Department of Health (DH) today (June 12) provided an update on the suspected case of Severe Respiratory Disease associated with Novel Coronavirus (will also be known as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome).
Preliminary laboratory test results for the respiratory
specimens of the 26-year-old woman today showed negative for Middle East
Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus.
" A spokesman for the Department of Health (DH) today (June 12) provided an update on the suspected case of Severe Respiratory Disease associated with Novel Coronavirus (will also be known as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome).
The woman, with good past health,
travelled to Dubai on June 5 and 6. She presented with cough, runny nose, fever
and arthralgia since June 6. She was admitted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for
isolation and treatment yesterday and her current condition is
stable.
"The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the DH will
continue its surveillance mechanism with public and private hospitals,
practising doctors and the airport for any suspected case of Middle East
Respiratory Syndrome," a DH spokesman remarked.
"No human infection
with this virus has been identified so far in Hong Kong," the spokesman
stressed."
