Via Asahi :

" SHINTOMI, Miyazaki Prefecture : A second outbreak of avian flu was confirmed in Miyazaki Prefecture, prompting a dispatch of Ground Self-Defense Force troops Monday to help prevent a further spread of the disease.

Miyazaki Governor Shunji Kono requested the emergency SDF dispatch after 20 birds were found dead Sunday at a giant poultry farm complex in Shintomi. Five of six birds tested were found to have been infected with the H5 influenza virus.

About 170 troops were to be deployed from the GSDF base in Miyakonojo on Monday and join efforts to contain the disease Tuesday."
