Malaysia : Current Situation of Influenza A (H1N1) as of May 21, 2010

Todays H1N1 update from the Malaysian MOH. What surprised me would be the revealing of the total number of fatalities. Today's update listed 85 fatalities to date but the last time the Ministry (which was 7th May 2010) updated the fatality count it was 82. Where the other 3 fatalities came from???

I would try my best to get more info on this. In the mean time, here's today's update, with my translation :

" Until 8:00 am on May 21, 2010, the Ministry received a total of six (6) reports of ILI cluster cases from the following six (6) states as listed in Appendix 1.

Meanwhile, until at 5:30 pm on May 20, 2010, a total of 65 confirmed positive cases of influenza A (H1N1) were reported for a cumulative number of 14,614 cases to date with 85 fatalities.

The remaining number of ILI cases that are being treated in the wards in the country are 587 cases. Of these, 68 cases (11.6%) were confirmed positive influenza A (H1N1). The numbers of patients in the ICU are nine (9), all of whom has risk factors."
