Malaysia - Current Situation of Influenza A (H1N1) as of 17 April 2010

The latest from Malaysia's Ministry of Health, what can I say? The numbers speak for themselves, also to note the number of ICU cases has also increased.

The report has an attachment which has the cluster cases listed in it. And as always please use Google Translate to read the report if you dont understand Malay.

Excerpt, with my translation:

" Up until 8:00 am on 17 April 2010, the Ministry received a total of ten (10) report the ILI cluster cases from four (4) states as listed in Attachment 1.

Meanwhile, until 5:30 pm on 16 April 2010, the total cumulative cases of ILI that are still being treated at the wards in the country are 525 cases. Of these, 70 cases (13.3%) were confirmed positive influenza A (H1N1), while 12 cases are being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), ten (10) of them had risk factors. Total cumulative cases of H1N1 positive to date are 13,088. No reports of death received yesterday.

Ministry of Health would like to continue to remind people that the spread of Influenza A (H1N1) continue to be active in the community. The society must always practice preventive measures that have been informed before. Members of the public who have risk factors such as pregnant women, suffering from chronic diseases such as asthma, diabetes, kidney, heart, etc., should get the A (H1N1)vaccine in 104 facilities throughout the country."
